Enjoy Christmas in Alicante with its Three Wise Men parades

One of the most typical things about Christmas in Alicante and the Costa Blanca are the Three Wise Men parades. Although every town has its own traditional parade, we’d like to point out our favourite one.

Moraira Three Wise Men parade

The Three Wise Men parade in Moraira is an event worth seeing, as it starts from the beach, when the sun is just finishing to set and makes its way through one of the most special nights of the year.

On the eve of Three Kings’ Day, the Three Wise Men arrive at Playa de l’Ampolla in Moraira, and then they go through the town centre and hand out presents in front of the local church.

After their visit to Moraira, their Majesties move on to Teulada, going to Herod’s Palace to adore the Baby Jesus in the Nativity scene in Bethlehem.

Taste the sweetest Christmas in Alicante with the Jijona Christmas Fair

Jijona nougat is the ultimate Christmas sweet in Alicante and throughout Spain. Every table has a slice of nougat at this time of year. Whether it is hard, soft, stone-baked or chocolate, it is a must.

To celebrate this delicacy, this year the Jijona Christmas Fair will be the longest in its history, with a 6-day duration. From Saturday 3 to Thursday 8 December 2022, both included, Jijona will be the showcase of its typical products.

A record-breaking Christmas in Alicante with the biggest Nativity Scene in the world and the biggest Christmas ball in Spain

In 2020, the capital of the province wanted to put Christmas in Alicante on the map, inaugurating the largest Nativity Scene in the world. The Guinness World Record has thus been awarded to these figures. As a new feature, this year 2022 the 3 kings will be added to the ensemble.
